This morning we were visited by Dee Caffari. Dee is a British sailor, and in 2006 became the first woman to sail single-handedly and non-stop around the world "the wrong way"; westward against the prevailing winds and currents.
She spoke to the children about the impact of single use plastics and the problems it is causing to the oceans. Dee set the children the challenge of using less and saying no to using single use plastics.
Thank you Grayson and Noah’s mum for organising Dee’s visit and we look forward to taking up the challenge and doing our part to help out our planet.
