Who are FOTS (Friends of Titchfield School)?
FOTS are ordinary members of the public…… The parents and relatives of the children of the school so you may be a FOTS already, or about to become one!
What do FOTS do?
FOTS raise thousands of pounds each year to provide extras for the children, which would not otherwise be available within the school budget, to enhance their enjoyment of school and help their education; examples of these ‘extras’ are school trips, swimming lessons, and library books as well as improved facilities for the school.
FOTS also exist to provide closer links between home, school and the community.
How do FOTS raise funds?
By holding varied events throughout the year, open to and enjoyed by, all.
As well as our regular newsletters which advertise forthcoming events, which appear on this page, parents should l look out for our flyers that come home in school book-bags advertising our events.
The events FOTS organise range from the simple playground ‘cake sale’ , to our infamous Strawberry and Advent Fayres and include Bingo, Quiz and Family Fun nights, not to mention circuses, disco’s and barbeques !
Active participation from the children themselves is actively encouraged and our exciting new group called the ‘POTS’ (Pupils of Titchfield School), run by the pupils themselves, come up with ideas for their own fundraising events and help decide how the money they raise is spent.
Events POTS have organised include a Swim-a-thon and their own mini-Fayre with stalls based on their own
We are a friendly group who meet either at school, someone's house or the pub in the evening about once a month. Please ask a FOTS Committee Member for more information (just ask, who they are is well known throughout the school!).
