Year 5 Masterchef Outcome
Our outcome was to make a healthy street food dish. We have had an amazing morning creating our masterpieces: Carbonara, bbq chicken wraps, king prawn noodle stir fry, spicy rice burritos, chicken stir fry, garlic potato and bacon salad.
Super proud of my chefs!
Mexican Bean Burgers
Year 5 had an amazing time making bean burgers from scratch as part of their Masterchef topic. We mixed all of our ingredients together to make burgers, them some of the class visited the allotment to collect lettuce for our buns! We also made a yogurt and lime sauce to finish it off, it was delicious.
Year 5 Masterchef
Can the children follow a recipe and make a Spanish omelette! Mrs Beacher and Mrs Southworth tasted all of them and agree we have some masterchefs in our class!
Olympic Day
The children came into school dressed in their Greek costume and spent the day taking part in their own ancient Greek Olympics! The children were spilt into different ‘city states’ and competed against each other in a series of activities to win a coveted wreath. The children made the wreath in the school grounds during the day.
The children debated the Trojan War and whether the 10 year war was worth the outcome.
Shadow puppet theatres
Year 5 performed with their shadow puppets. They worked so hard and achieved a phenomenal amount in only 3 weeks! They made a theatre, wrote a script, put music to accompany the script and worked out how light and shadow affects their performance! Mrs Beacher is super proud of the results!
