The Unsinkable Titanic !

This week we had a visit from the SeaCity museum in Southampton, this was for our project 'shipwrecked' which is about the Titanic. Firstly, we played a true or false quiz about some aspects of the Titanic and then we dressed up one of the children as Captain Edward Smith! We also found out some more information about him. The children then rotated around 4 activities:

1) A lifeboat activity: Finding out who was needed on the lifeboat and then the children had to decide who should go on from there.

2) Sound activity: Listening to different sounds from the Titanic and decided what they were.

3) Ice activity: See how many compartments would be needed to be filled for the Titanic to sink

4) Artefact's activity: Draw the artefacts and identify what they are.

Finally, we all came back together, and the children had the opportunity to ask some questions they had been thinking of! It was a great session, and the children took so much from it.
