Service Families

Titchfield Primary School is home to a number of children from Service families who have the opportunity to meet weekly.  The children named their group Super Service Kids.

We start our sessions with a ‘feelings check in’ which the children find important.

Our children say:

“It’s a time to express feelings if you are missing someone that you haven’t seen for a long time.”

“It’s good to talk about our feelings with our friends that understand.”

“Helpful to share feelings in our group, especially if you’re missing someone.”

“We can help each other because we know how it feels.”

“It’s a chance to talk about our worries.”

Each week the children have the opportunity to play games and to build friendships with others in their situation.

Our children say:

“We have fun and it can be a good distraction.”

“It’s a nice time to be in a small group and it helps to make me feel happy.”

“It’s a time to make new friends and learn more about each other.”

“I always get excited when it’s time to go to Super Service Kids because everyone is always kind to me.”

“If your mum and dad are away you can always rely on your group to make you feel better about your worry.”

If any of our families are due a deployment, please do let us know so that we can support with this.  Our main contact for Super Service Kids is Mrs Cook.  Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Cook if there is anything she can help you with.
